5、 Customs inspection and qualification assessment requirements
According to Article 1 of Announcement No. 29 of 2023 of the General Administration of Customs, a batch by batch "document verification+port inspection or destination inspection" mode will be implemented for imported hazardous chemicals, and inspection operation stages (locations) and ratios will be set based on the properties of imported hazardous chemicals and the packaging types of dangerous goods.
After the imported hazardous chemicals arrive at the Chinese port, the customs will conduct inspections in accordance with the law, including:
（1） Document review
Check the completeness and validity of the attached documents, with a focus on verifying whether the hazard disclosure labels and safety data sheets comply with Chinese standard requirements.
（2） Packaging inspection
For the packaging used for imported hazardous chemicals, the packaging type, packaging labeling, packaging category, packaging specifications, individual weight, packaging usage condition, etc. should be inspected to ensure compliance with regulations. The compatibility and applicability of the packaging with the contents should be checked on-site to ensure that there are no damages, damages, spills, leaks, etc. The labels hanging on the goods should be consistent with the enterprise's declaration materials.
